Privacy Policy
Diakon Logistics • Effective Date: June 25, 2026
Diakon Logistics ("Diakon," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we share it, and the choices available to you. It applies to information collected through our website, our delivery and logistics services, our driver and contractor recruiting process, and our text (SMS) messaging programs.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Contact information — name, mobile phone number, email address, and mailing or delivery address.
- Delivery information — order or reference numbers, scheduled delivery windows, delivery status, and related logistics details for shipments we handle on behalf of our retail clients.
- Recruiting information — for prospective drivers and contractors: information you provide when you apply or express interest, such as work history, qualifications, licensing, and availability.
- Communications — records of messages, calls, and emails between you and Diakon, including SMS opt-in and opt-out activity.
- Website and device information — when you visit our website, we may automatically collect IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and similar usage data through cookies and similar technologies.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To schedule, coordinate, and complete deliveries, and to send delivery notifications, scheduling updates, ETAs, and delivery status messages.
- To communicate with prospective drivers and contractors about recruiting, application status, and onboarding.
- To respond to your questions, requests, and customer service needs.
- To operate, maintain, and improve our website and services.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
3. Text Messaging (SMS) Program
Programs and Message Types
Diakon operates the following text messaging programs:
- Delivery notifications — scheduling confirmations, delivery windows, ETA and en-route updates, completion notices, and related service messages for customers receiving deliveries we handle.
- Driver and contractor recruiting — messages to individuals who have expressed interest in driving or contracting opportunities, regarding application status, opportunities, and onboarding.
How You Opt In
We send text messages only to individuals who have provided their mobile number and consented to receive messages — for example, when a delivery is arranged, when you submit a recruiting inquiry or application, or when you otherwise provide your number and agree to be contacted by text. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase or of employment or contracting.
Frequency, Rates, HELP and STOP
- Message frequency varies based on your delivery activity or recruiting status.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- For help, reply HELP or contact us using the details below.
- To stop receiving messages, reply STOP to any message. You may also reply QUIT, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, or OPT OUT. After you opt out, we will send one confirmation message and then stop sending texts to that number, except as needed to process your opt-out request.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:
- Retail clients — to coordinate and confirm deliveries we perform on their behalf.
- Service providers — vendors that help us operate our business (for example, messaging platforms, IT, and logistics technology providers), who are permitted to use the information only to provide services to Diakon.
- Legal and safety — when required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Diakon, our customers, or others.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
5. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide our services, comply with legal and contractual obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
6. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Choices and Rights
You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us using the details below. Depending on your state of residence, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws.
8. Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective Date" above indicates when it was last revised. Material changes will be posted on this page.
